Germany a carnival: women cut off men. ties!

Its the carnival reaches its climax on one of the Mondays of February, which is fancy language is called “Rosenmontag”. This year Rosenmontag will be held February 26. Before that, on February 22, will be another very significant event – Altweibersommer. From early morning the streets of the city fill with women in fancy clothes, at 10 o’clock we meet at the Alter Markt. In 11 hours 11 minutes the crowd of women stormed the town Hall of Cologne and thus open street carnival. On this day all men are encouraged to wear ties cheaper, as women armed with scissors, cut off all ties to any men. Resistance is futile, is the custom custom.

February 26, Rosenmontag, glee reaches its highest point. As usual, in 11 hours 11 minutes starts many kilometers and hours-long carnival procession. Holiday guests are advised to come to Cologne to take the best seats. Almost all dressed in fancy outfits, conventional apparel on this day is the exception rather than the rule. Cologne carnival, 3–8 February, Cologne
